Small World Pet Sitters and It’s a Dog’s World will be hosting a Cat Wellness and Behavior Seminar on Saturday, April 30 at 5:30pm. Dr. Courtney Perry, DVM (the neighborhood’s new vet), Marion the shop owner, and Donna a local rescuer will be leading the seminar. Topics will include litter box issues, a healthy diet, and much more. People are encouraged to bring a question or two. We hope you can attend.

    I don’t think they’re ready for our questions. “Why does the Ragdoll cat hallucinate?” “Why does the grey cat want to suck my collarbone, but only when I sit at the computer?” “What is so delicious about photography film emulsion?” “What kind of ‘cat’ chews (not scratches, CHEWS) wooden furniture demands belly rubs?” I won’t go and ruin their first event by bringing all our feline weirdness…

    so it’s not just me with those questions….Why is my cat sucking on my earlobe? Why does the white cat run around like a madman after using the litter box? Why does my cat pee in the shower? Why does my cat chew on my hair when i’m sleeping? what is it with my cat and shoes….

    My questions are bit more complex, mostly regarding the raw food diet my cats are on. People would surely look at me crazy when I bring up the topic of them devouring raw chicken, beef, and fish.
