Only there is no Q train on September 12th. Ooops.

  • jjs555

Right. So we’ll all be here.

Yeah, at least there’s something to do that we don’t need to take the train to!

Shouldn’t that be “Ditmas Park Frolic”?

  • J

Ditmas park is just a part of greater Flatbush.

I am wondering about getting to and from my home on stratford (a one way street) between cortelyou and slocum- do you think that stretch will become two ways (slowly) for that day since cortelyou is blocked?

  • Deb from Ditmas

One of the joys of the Flatbush Frolic is that I get to drive the wrong way down my one way street (Argyle from Beverley) that day. Go for it!!

To Karol: The whole neighborhood is not truly “Ditmas Park”. Ditmas Park is one of the neighborhood associations. It’s also one of the areas where all the newbies first began moving in recent years. Realtors took up the mantle and renamed our neighborhood ala Noho, Soho blah blah blah…it’s actually Flatbush that you live in. So get used to it saying that. Ditmas is wrong wrong wrong unless you live on one of those blocks.

THANKS! I just looked on the city site and they didn’t have anything but major closings listed.

Wren and J, I know it’s Flatbush, I was kidding. Grew up in the area, never heard of “Ditmas Park” until a few years ago.

So are these parking restrictions up and down every single block in the neighborhood for real? It’s almost midnight on Saturday night and no one seems to be moving their cars.
