Join the Newkirk Cares Collaborative Steering Committee

The Newkirk Cares Collaborative was formed to engage community members in improving the Newkirk Avenue corridor from Ocean Parkway to Ocean Avenue. With the help of a grant and assistance from the Faltbush Development Corporation, the group’s first initiatives will include muraling the Newkirk Plaza passageway and installing tree guards along Newkirk Avenue.
They’re working with local artists on the mural, and they invite more neighbors to get involved in that and in the greening projects. If you would like to help organize, join their steering committee, which will be meeting on Saturday, February 18 at 11am at Salud.
