Catskill Bagel Cleared to Open

In somewhat more cheerful Cortelyou news, we spotted into Jim Mamary in the nicely built out, long-awaited Catskill Bagel today, and he told us that they’ve finally got all their permits in place and are cleared to open.

He’s aiming for the week after Labor day.

    Also, I read that Blue Marble is closing on Atlantic because of raised rent. Clearly, this is their chance to move to DP!

    Man, do you realize what it would do to my financial situation if Blue Marble appeared here? I can basically kiss the idea of a savings account goodbye…at least until winter :)

    Yes, Emily- to say nothing of my waistline:) I feel ya.

    I don’t (now that I moved to DP) walk that stretch of Atlantic v often anymore, but did a few wks ago and it is fancypants. I can believe the rent went up, and, well, if their loss were to be our gain, yaay us!

    Saw somewhere that Ft. G and environs (I think their location qualifies) has suffered a “zero % drop” in real estate values since 2007. And now that the Ratner Arena business is settled, well- carry on, everyone.

    It’s craziness over there, more, still. All those empty condos still listed at $1M +…. I don’t understand.
