Has anyone heard of any new other happenings along Foster – good or bad? My husband and I are looking to move to the area (Midwood Park)and wanted to get your thoughts on the development of the area.

Not much happening there. lived in Midwood Park for a while. I don’t see any vacant store fronts. What you see is what you get. I usually walk to Newkirk Plaza for a snack or coffee or to Starbucks on Hillel near Brooklyn College.

there’s a menu posted on the door. doesn’t look so much cheaper, but definitely less exciting than pomme. sad.

Can someone illuminate what’s on this menu?

Foster hasn’t yet experienced the gentrified uptick a la Cortelyou. Having said that, there are some solid businesses that we patronize on a regular basis: Thriftway Pharmacy, Almac Hardware, Chase Bank, Leon’s Haircutting, Newkirk Station Wines and Liquors, Subway, etc.

I’ve noticed an unusually high number of apartments for sale in 1818 Newkirk and 1825 Foster. Is there something up with those buildings that can account for the high number of listings? The apartments seems to be very nice with great layouts.
