This neat little store on Cortelyou and Dr Widad Valme have a great reputation in the neighborhood. Check it out if you are in need of new contact lenses, eye glasses or just a check up. And if you need further encouragement, they are having a Summer Sale right now.

For regular check-ups and glasses or contacts we highly recommend Grace Eyecare on Cortelyou Road. Dr. Valme is a lovely woman, Jared runs her office excellently, and they accept most insurance. My whole family goes there now and she always takes time to do a thorough exam.

I went there for the first time a few months ago after being jerked around by Cohen’s Optical. I went on a Saturday morning and had the doctor and her helper’s complete attention. She went out of her way to reach the doctor I had a prescription from to make sure she had it right. The experience was wonderful…I felt very pampered. I mean how many doctors spend time helping you pick out the right glasses for your face! Love my new glasses and will certainly continue to be a customer at this wonderful neighborhood business.
