Spot a Wheel, get an iPad

Monday, May 10th, 2010

kikinpoleNeighbor Caitlin emails that the start-up she works for, kikin, are giving away three iPads this month to folks who’ve spotted a kikin wheel. They  have placed 300 kikin wheel stickers around the city, and all you need to do is tweet them a photo if you spot one @kikin_inc . “Every Friday (for the duration of the contest) we will randomly pick a winner from all entrants and reward them an iPad.”  More here http://www.kikin.com/blog/kikins-find-the-wheel-sweepstakes“.

    Great another useless internet startup.

Thanks for helping us get the word out about our sweepstakes!

Definitely follow @kikin_inc on Twitter for clues and updates about the sweepstakes.

Good luck to everyone in Ditmas Park!

Not to be too get-off-my-lawn about this, but isn’t there a better way to get the word out than defacing public property?

You might want to show that they will be removed by a certain point, just as garage sale signs etc are removed. Though I am not upset by it in general, I did wonder whether you’d take them down and I am sure others wonder the same.

Dncmilch: I think your forgetting that this is BROOKLYN! C’mon. I dont care how much “Victorian Flatbush” is fooling you, but this ain’t the burbs.

No, I know, and believe me, I’m not taking myself too seriously. If my panties are to be wadded, there are bigger, better targets than this. I get it.

That said, it does irk me JUST a little bit that an already-strapped city will eventually have to pay to clean up after someone’s advertising campaign. There’s enough vandalism to go around already.

Plus, this is the Internet. If not for semi-anonymous whining, what else is it good for?
