Monk’s Trunk

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

web-adCarrie McLaren, who writes Hawthorne Street, the awesome Prospect Lefferts Gardens blog, emails that she will be opening a children’s resale clothing shop in the fall in PLG, called Monk’s Trunk. Located near the Q/B at Parkside, she hopes it will be close enough to be convenient for all of us.

In order to open, they are currently we’re looking to buy fall & winter boys and girls clothes up to size 8:

“Since our storefront doesn’t exist yet, we’re going to buy by pick up: Anyone interested in selling clothes can contact me and make an appointment: 718-398-9324 or brooklynite282@gmail.com. We’re particularly interested in premium basics (Gap, Gymboree) and boutique labels (Tea Collection, Mini-Boden, Cakewalk and other European brands, etc.), but would be glad to consider cute things of all makes.”

Best of luck, and do check out Hawthorne Street for the goings on in PLG!

Yikes. What poor typography design for the message it should be conveying. All I see is “Sell Your Kids”.
