Again, just check your dosage labels. They could have seriously hurt our children with their carelessness.

Much better than Duane Reade...friendly, fast, knowledgeable, eager to call doctor if questions, small business, community minded....I don't want the world taken over by walmart and duane reade etc.

Thirded. This place is great. Most pharmacies will only sell pre-made pills and concoctions, but they can mix their own. Real deal. I tried getting the same script at the Newkirk Plaza pharmacist (who are also very nice) as well as the Rite Aid down the street. Greenfield was the only one who could fill it.

They're also immensely pleasant and patient. And, you know, they're mom and pop. Highly recommended.

We wanted to support a local business. Unfortunately, on two separate occasions critical medicine for our sick infant came with labels indicating the wring dosage. The first time, the label stated a dose FIVE times the prescribed dose; in the second incident, the label stated THREE times the prescribed dose. Luckily we knew the proper dose.

In both instances, we notified the pharmacist who was extremely apologetic; he sent over new bottles with proper labels almost immediately. Nonetheless, our trust is shaken.

It is a good idea to double check any prescription label, but two mistakes in one week was too much for us.

Bummer! I've only had good experiences with them as well. Just like with our local restaurants, our experiences run quite the gamut from "fabulous!" to "hated it!"

Wow - sorry for your experience. I've had only really wonderful experiences with Greenfields. Super nice folks, give good prices for people without drug coverage, will custom formulate meds which is rare. They order stuff every morning, so if they don't have the drug you need in the morning, they can usually get it by the afternoon. I get my magazines at Duane Reade, but always give my pharmacy business to Greenfields.

I would not recommend this pharmacy. I used them once, to fill a prescription that Duane Reade couldn't fill.

They insisted on having my insurance card, and kept it for the entire time it took to fill the prescription (24 hrs), which I found odd. They called me to say that the co-pay would be $35, and to please call back to authorize them to fill it. I did, but when I went to pick it up they said no, the co-pay was $70.

I grumbled, but paid. I then asked for my insurance card back: the response was "what insurance card?" at which point I pitched a fit in the middle of the store. I threatened to call the police and did call my insurance company from the store; I told them I would shut them down for insurance fraud and refused to leave the premises without my card.

They magically located it rather quickly.

I would not give them my business.
