I just joined the Bally over on Flatbush. Yes, it's a Bally, but it's surprisingly nice if you like working on machines. AND if you're a national member you can try the pools at the Kings Highway or Sheepshead Bay branches. To sound even more like a paid advertiser (which I'm not although I suppose my brand new 3-year membership gives me a certain stake in making sure the Flatbush branch stays open), I'll even say that I hear there's free parking. Oh, and child care, supposedly (there's a room and I saw a stroller parked in it once and there was a baby in the stroller which doesn't sound all that great when you read it over).
