Saving the Geese

Thursday, June 16th, 2011

The Journal reports that GooseWatch is now holding “all night vigils” outside Prospect Park, waiting for the USDA:

On a recent night David Karopkin, a 26-year-old Ditmas Park resident, stood outside with four others, bearing night-vision binoculars. “We just decided we’re not going to allow this to happen again,” he said.

The group isn’t exactly sure what it will do when or if the USDA shows up. But plans include documenting the USDA roundup, rallying as large of a crowd as possible and using noise makers to scare the geese away. “Imagine if this was your backyard and someone just came and took something,” said Mr. Karopkin. “This is our backyard. Our parks are New York’s back yard.”

First off I’m only a law student never said I was a lawyer. Its afterall my sn. I’m not going to beat you. This whole thing is being recorded. I just want to hear you say this. I bet when you see me you won’t say it that’s all. I’m trying to prove that you don’t know me so keep it to yourself. Just as you just said when began to feel threatened. Don’t like my opinion ok but come on don’t bully. I’m not the passive aggressive one. You’re the one cyber bullying and I know for a fact my physical presence alone would be enough to quiet you. So what I checked back on the blog? It’s a free country.

Every fact about myself I provided was truthful. But you will never know for sure unless you meet up with me, lol.

I don’t know what lesson I should learn and I don’t care to know what lesson you think I should know. I don’t know what my sister being a ho or me defending a crack head has to do with anything. You’re silly fun. Maybe you’re the one with a problem.

Because for one thing, they ARE killing these birds, and it is a horrible inhumane death of entire families of geese, devoted mates and babies, and it is a terror-filled, prolonged experience for NOTHING.

On a non-emotional level (and I for one do not know why emotionalism is such a bad thing, it is what makes us human.  Naziism was cold and brutal.), there are also the government lies and corruption of blaming everything from airline safety to health problems falsely on geese, and there is nothing in any writing whatsoever to legitamately document any of this.  Instead of simply humanely manageing geese into smaller populations which is absolutely and easily done by non-lethal techniques, Bloomberg wants to make a murder/food machine out of this and LIES to us about it.  It is insulting to our intellect, wastes our tax money and is completely unnecessary.  There are REAL problems in this city to deal with.  There is a huge percentage of people who enjoy taking their children and elderly parents to the parks and enjoying these animals and the government needs to listen to these people as well.

Ladies and gentlemen, I submit to you Exhibit A – The smart (so he says) law student (so he says) who is so big and tough when he is pushing others around, but push him back and he is suddenly at a loss for words, fumbling and actually LEAVES THE FLOOR, his case crashing all around him!

Now, is this a lawyer YOU would want to defend YOU if you were on trial for your life?   Even in traffic court?

    No.

Is this the kind of person who strikes you as well-adjusted and mentally balanced?.

    I think not.

Would you want to be on the road with this person?  Would you feel comfortable if this person had a gun?

    Please.

He is now ranting like an irrational emotional cripple.  What happened to the logic, the control and cool demeanor?

    Gone.

I think this person has completely lost not only his case but “IT.”

Something is not right with this person.

The evidence is right there in his own words and in his own behavior.

I just stood back and let him do it to himself.

    I rest my case.

and as for cracking we’re not even talking of geese anymore. Way to stay on topic. I’m crumbling because I come back and there are literally 40 comments from you all derogatory and attacks on my person. Not actual debate of the topic. So, I tire of you. It is to be expected. I see you have mad free time and will not cede the last word so have at it. Call me all the things you think about yourself, I know you can’t afford therapy so have at it.

My sister always told me takes a ho to know a ho. Haha.

thanks for your psychological work up Dr. Steinberg. Ad hominem attack look it up that’s all. How is any of what you’re saying related to the things I said earlier? I already copped to being an ass.hole. And apologized for being condescending to others. That was never my intention and that can be seen in my writing in general. I have yet to say anything overtly mean to anyone until they first said several nasty things about me or to me such as you have. Furthermore, even if I were to be an unstable, passive aggressive and incompetent lawyer as you paint me what would that have to do with my responses pertaining to geese and the subsequent responses that followed? All of your points are ad hominem logic fallacy.

Well, your sister would know since she’s the madam.

We were NEVER talking about geese because by your own admission, you know nothing about the topic.  So why were you even flapping your gums about something you didn’t even bother researching. Very poor law to not know your topic.

No, this was all about nothing more than your ego and you LOST and now you’re a sore loser.  I may have left 40 short comments but they were to your 40 long and rambling ones, so who has mad free time, buddy?

You’re not tired, You just have no ammunition to defend yourself because you know I’m right.  You ARE an insufferable asshole and you publicly proved that to everyone.

And maybe you’re just someone with a BIG problem. In fact, I’m sure of it.

You don’t even write like the same person who was sending all those massive “legal” discourses. You are literally two completely different people and one’s a psycho and the other is a whiney 10-year old. Your meds must have worn off.

I think I’ve successfully outed you by now, amd so essentially my work here is done.

You are nothing but a bully. And like all bullies, you are underneath it all, nothing.

I knew you wouldn’t even remotely grasp the lesson here.  Another failure.

You must be very lonely if you made an e-mail account just for me. Thanks a bunch, but I decline your, uh, generous offer.  I just don’t find you a worthy opponent.  You are not a master debater.  Oh, my bad.  Maybe that’s all you are.

    Hummina hummina hummina non sequitor

    1) You’re STILL being an asshole.  You need to stop.  It’s not a great thing to get a reputation for being.

    2) You were thoroughly mean and condescending CONSISTENTLY and if it wasn’t your intention, you certainly gave an excellent impersonation of someone being such.  Really, READ the stuff you wrote – it was cringeworthy. toadying, obsequious and obnoxious in the extreme, with flowery, ridiulous language and everything.

    3)  Your comments pertaining to geese were based on personal opinon and God knows where that came from and you just threw up what you thought was logic around it.  You need to examine WHY you hate harmless creatures so much that you think it is acceptable to the city to send them to miserable unwaranted deaths.

    4)  If you want to be a bad lawyer, stay on the path that you are on and then please go to work for the government.  We need you on THAT side so we can have the GOOD lawyers defending the people and animals who deserve a simple place to live in peace.

You’ve wasted enough time here, BUT the plus is, a lot of good people got to challenge your point of view and made a lot of good arguments FOR the geese.

If you want to find out just how much to trust the USDA and their safety record with food, read an extraordinary book titled – “Mad Sheep: The True Story Behind the USDA’s War on a Family Farm” by Linda Faillace – and draw your own conclusion. You can get it from your library or you can even find it on eBay. This is the frightening true account of a Vermont farming family driven out of business by a government agency cover-up over mad cow disease and corporate greed protecting the American beef industry (not the American public), which had been compromised by sloppy USDA management. Still is. The government hit people involved in this family’s massacre were rewarded with consultant jobs in the fast food industry.

What happened with these sheep and the USDA happens with various other animals such as the geese and is supplemented by various other government agencies such as USF&W. It is all about money and protecting special interests and nothing else.  Certainly not your health.

I think this has gotten a little personal, and a bit off the waterfowl subject, so am going to close the thread. Thanks to the many many thoughtful commenters.
