Stabbing at Salahi
Thursday, October 23rd, 2008
A man was stabbed in the stomach at Salahi Deli on the corner of Argyle and Cortelyou, and is likely to die, an NYPD spokeswoman said.
The victim, a 33-year old black male, was stabbed once in the stomach at 8:23 p.m., and taken to the Kings County Hospital, the spokeswoman said.
She said the suspect fled the scene.
There was a a helicopter shining its spotlight around the neighborhood after the stabbing.
The lieutenant I talked to wouldn’t give any other details. I asked him if the victim was OK, and he gestured toward a pile of bloody paper towels and said, “What does it look like to you?”
